While countries like the United States and Australia have seen a growing return to traditional, tallow-based skincare, it’s still largely unfamiliar in our region. In the Maldives, we’ve long relied on imported products, often filled with synthetic ingredients and steep price tags. But what if there were a better alternative? That’s where Farmwell comes in. We’re proud to introduce tallow skincare to our islands for the first time.
Why hasn’t Tallow been used in the Maldives before?
Unlike other parts of the world where tallow has been a skincare staple, the Maldives has never had access to it. The reasons are clear:
- No local farms or cattle: Without livestock, there has never been a source of tallow in the Maldives.
- Limited awareness: Tallow was never part of our traditions, so most people don’t know what it is or how beneficial it can be.
- Reliance on imports: The beauty industry has long promoted foreign brands, making natural, whole-ingredient alternatives less visible.
Changing the narrative
Farmwell is not just introducing a product. We’re redefining what skincare means for the Maldives. By bringing in high-quality, grass-fed, grass-finished suet tallow, we’re offering an option that is pure, effective, and free from unnecessary additives.
For the first time, Maldivians have access to a skincare ingredient that is deeply nourishing, long-lasting, and perfectly suited for life under the sun. Tallow provides an alternative that prioritizes skin health over marketing gimmicks.
The future of skincare in the Maldives
Our journey is about more than just selling skincare. It’s about creating awareness, introducing a time-tested tradition to a new place, and proving that the best solutions are often the ones found in nature. With Farmwell, we’re embracing the most effective ingredients and making them available for those who seek real nourishment.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we’re changing the way the Maldives thinks about skincare.
